Hatzola Northwest recently held its annual Community First-Aid Training Day, an event dedicated to fostering a culture of preparedness and care within our community. This year's session had an unprecedented attendance of 194 individuals, marking a significant milestone in our collective commitment to being there for one another in times of need.
Participants were immersed in a dynamic learning experience, equipping them with essential skills to effectively respond to emergencies. From comprehensive CPR training for both adults and children to specialized sessions addressing the critical steps to take when someone is choking, attendees left, with invaluable knowledge and confidence to handle diverse emergency scenarios.
Our Clinical Lead, Kevin Cuddon's dedication and organization of this training day were pivotal in orchestrating the event's success. We extend our deepest gratitude to him, as well as to Yossi and Shloimie for their outstanding CPR training sessions, and to the responders who ensured smooth operations throughout the day. The remarkable shows our community's commitment to be sure that everyone is safe and cared for in their times of need. Hatzola Northwest eagerly anticipates next year's event, with the aim of reaching an even broader spectrum of community members and further strengthening our collective capacity to care for one another.
"We would like to thank you for your efficient service provided by your organisation. We were impressed by the speed they arrived and attended to my wife who had a fall."
"When my husband was taken ill, your medics arrived promptly. The crew were very friendly, kind and super efficient. I have used your service before and feel privileged to be able to do so."
"I am writing to say how very grateful I am for your volunteers who took me to the RFH.
They were so caring and professional and I was attended to much quicker because they had brought me into hospital."
"I used Hatzola a week and a half ago after cutting my thumb with a rather sharp and serrated kitchen knife. Everybody from the lady on the phone to the 2 medics that attended, helped me feel calm and I knew I was in safe hands. Being 32 weeks pregnant with my first child I was getting a bit nervous as there was a lot of blood but the medics calmly dressed it and told me to go to hospital to get it glued."
"I feel very honoured to be part of a community where we are so well looked after, especially by the staff at Hatzola who are walking Angels and true examples of being selfless. An incredible organisation, efficient and well organised. Will be a priority of my charity from now on...."
"Please send a big thank you to everyone who was involved in getting me to hospital on Shabbat two/three weeks ago. I became very suddenly unwell and in extreme pain. I cannot thank you enough for coming so quickly, efficiently and kindly to my assistance."

The volunteers were with us within 3 minutes, selflessly helping and assisting in every way possible with highest professionalism and Mesiras Nefesh. The ambulance was then called and I was taken to the A&E of the RFH. We were at the RFH within 10 minutes. All 4 people were absolutely amazing and a huge Yashar Koach to all of them, Brachah V’Hatzlahah."
